Formula One Odds Styrian Grand Prix
It took longer than expected, but the 2020 Formula One season is underway. Valtteri Bottas won the Austrian Grand Prix this past Sunday, claiming the first 25 points for Mercedes. The drivers will stay at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg for this week’s race, the inaugural Styrian Grand Prix, with ESPN providing Sunday’s coverage at 9:05 AM ET, and Bovada Sports providing the Betting odds.
Can Anyone Stop Mercedes? The 2020 Formula One season is finally underway, but Mercedes may have already sewn things up after dominating last week’s Austrian Grand Prix with a controversial new steering system Bet on auto racing at Bovada and get a free 50% bonus.
Odds for Sunday’s race are pending at press time, as everyone tries to digest what happened in the opening race. Teams have made a number of changes to their vehicles during the coronavirus shutdown; Mercedes unveiled a new dual-axis steering system, or DAS, that no other team has – and was declared legal after Red Bull’s protest of Bottas’s victory was rejected.
The ruling was a major coup for Mercedes and reigning F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, who crossed the finish line second behind Bottas at the Austrian Grand Prix, but was assessed a time penalty and relegated to fourth place. Hamilton is the –164 favorite to defend his title in what will be a shortened 2020 season, with Bottas in second at +225 @ Bovada. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) and Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) are tied for third at +1000 @ Bovada.
