MLB Odds: Blue Jays, Yankees Face Off in the Bronx

The Toronto Blue Jays (67-52) came into the week on top of the American League East, but the New York Yankees (61-57) won the first game of their three-game set. The Yankees will host the Jays for Game 3 on Wednesday.

The Blue Jays will give the ball to JA Happ (16-3 W-L, 2.96 ERF), who tossed six shutout innings of four-hit ball in a 7-0 win over Tampa Bay at home. Happ struck out seven and walked two. His last loss came back on June 6 against the Detroit Tigers. The 33-year-old southpaw is 5-2 in 12 career starts against the Yankees, posting a 3.93 ERA. He’s also 6-2 in 11 road starts with an ERA of 3.15.

The Yankees counter with CC Sabathia (7-9 W-L, 4.20 ERA), who also played the Rays at home in his last start. He allowed three runs on four hits over six innings in a 6-3 win, striking out seven and walking three. The 36-year-old southpaw and former Cy Young winner is 15-8 in 24 career starts against the Blue Jays with an ERA of 3.20. Sabathia is 2-6 in 10 starts at home this season with an ERA of 4.78.
